Warranty Policy

Buena Vision Optical stands behind the quality of our products. This Warranty Policy describes the limited warranty coverage we provide for frames and lenses purchased directly from buenavisionoptical.com.

1. Frame Warranty

All frames sold by Buena Vision Optical are covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects, including:

  • Structural defects in frame construction (e.g., broken hinges, cracked frame material not caused by impact)
  • Weld or joint failures under normal use
  • Factory coating delamination or peeling not caused by chemical exposure or improper cleaning

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including minor scratches or finish wear
  • Damage caused by accidents, drops, impacts, or misuse
  • Damage caused by exposure to chemicals, solvents, or extreme heat
  • Alterations or repairs performed by a third party
  • Lost or stolen frames

2. Lens Coating Warranty

Factory-applied lens coatings (including anti-reflective coating and UV coating) on non-prescription lenses are covered by a 6-month limited warranty from the date of delivery against:

  • Bubbling, peeling, or delamination of the factory-applied coating under normal use and proper care

This warranty does not cover:

  • Scratches resulting from normal use or improper cleaning
  • Coating damage caused by chemical exposure, abrasive cleaners, or ultrasonic cleaning devices
  • Damage caused by leaving lenses in high-heat environments (e.g., inside a vehicle in direct sunlight)

3. Prescription Lenses

Custom prescription lenses are not covered under this warranty. However, if a prescription lens order contains a verified error attributable to Buena Vision Optical (such as an incorrect prescription filled based on the information you provided), we will remake the lenses at no charge if reported within 30 days of delivery.

We are not responsible for errors resulting from an inaccurate or outdated prescription provided by the customer. We recommend using a prescription issued within the last 12 months.

For items damaged during shipping, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery per our Refund Policy.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim, please contact us within the applicable warranty period:

Please include your order number, a description of the defect, and clear photographs of the issue. Our team will review your claim and respond within 3 to 5 business days. If your claim is approved, we will repair or replace the defective item at our discretion, at no cost to you.

5. Warranty Remedies

If a valid warranty claim is approved, Buena Vision Optical will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the defective product
  • Replace the defective product with the same or a comparable model
  • Issue a store credit or refund equal to the original purchase price

Replacement products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or 30 days from the date of replacement, whichever is longer.

6. Limitation of Warranty

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY PROVIDED BY BUENA VISION OPTICAL. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE DISCLAIMED. BUENA VISION OPTICAL'S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
